Rush Limbaugh: Valiant Defender of ‘Traditional Marriage’

May 10, 2012

Not that anything that oozes from Rush Limbaugh’s piehole could surprise, but here’s what he had to say about President Obama’s statement in support of marriage equality on his show today:

“We’ve arrived at a point where the president of the United States is going to lead a war on traditional marriage…”

People like me, who are minding their own business, all of a sudden have to stand up and defend these traditions and instutions from people like…the president, who’s waging a war on traditional America.” (via HuffPo, emphasis mine)

A simple rebuttal:

There are some topics, Rush, upon which you are not only unqualified, but actively dis-qualified to speak.

This is why I remain your faithful minion and humble follower. You know how to turn a phrase.

“… anything that oozes from Rush Limbaugh’s piehole …”

    That’s solid gold.

Why is it that if you disagree with some people they immediately and divisively call it a “war?” In my experience these are usually the same people who are more than happy to tell you that you’re going to Hell if you don’t agree with what they have to say. In my humble opinion that’s a lot more warlike than, “I have a different opinion.”

These are usually the same people who are chompin at the bit to go to actual war, so I guess it’s not surprising that they also love rhetorical war. 😉
