Unwed Mother, Bristol Palin: Obama Wrong On Gay Marriage – Kids Need Mom and Dad

May 10, 2012

Oh, it truly is a lucky day for traditional marriage! Not only is serial bridegroom Rush Limbaugh rising to its defense, so is unwed mother Bristol Palin. TMZ reports:

In her blog entry, Palin writes, “While it’s great to listen to your kids’ ideas, there’s also a time when dads simply need to be dads.  In this case, it would’ve been helpful for him to explain to Malia and Sasha that while her friends parents are no doubt lovely people, that’s not a reason to change thousands of years of thinking about marriage.”

The 21-year-old unwed mother continues, “As great as her friends may be – we know that in general kids do better growing up in a mother/father home.  Ideally, fathers help shape their kids’ worldview.”

Wow, huh?

While I will grant Bristol the right to her own opinion, how is it possible for anyone to have this little self-awareness? We’ll put aside for now the fact that her own status as an unwed teenage mother goes against the same teachings from which she derives her stance on homosexuality. But can anyone explain how it logically follows that if a two parent, opposite-gender family is best, but a single mom is okay, that a two parent same-sex family is wrong??

She then goes on into some riff about Dora the Explorer and Glee. I’m sure she finds herself  very clever, indeed. She really is her mother’s daughter.

Bristol can’t be faulted for sounding like her mother. Sarah needs to be faulted for sounding like a 17 year old.

Like Johnny Knoxville is attracted to a kick in the balls, the Palin’s are attracted to speaking in public.

Same-sex parents would have been smart enough to teach their child what hypocrisy is
