Oh, hai! I can haz Netroots scholarship?

May 6, 2013

How can you say no to that face?Your intrepid blogger would very much like to head to San Jose this summer for the 8th annual progressive conclave known as Netroots Nation. It’s a great opportunity to see big name speakers, learn from leading progressive activists, mingle with like-minded souls, and generally aid oneself in becoming a better progressive activist, both online and off. There is also, I have been told, a little bit of partying.

I never beg my lovely readers for money — so here’s your chance to “pay” me for whatever it is this blog might bring you! I’ve applied for a scholarship from Democracy For America to attend this year’s event. The scholarship pays for registration and lodging; I’ll still be on the hook for travel expenses and the bar tab.

Help me help meAll I need is to win. One thing that can help toward that goal is your vote. The vote total isn’t the only deciding factor, but the more support I can muster the better. If you have already placed a vote for someone else, that’s fine — you can vote for multiple applicants. We’re just about down to the last 24 hours of voting, so don’t wait — click now! And if you’ll be in San Jose yourself, just find me and I’ll buy you a round.

So now that you’re just itching to click and vote, all you need is a link. Here you go: VOTE FOR SANDI!

Thank you in advance for helping me find the way to San Jose. We’ll let Dionne Warwick play you out:

I voted for you. I’m surprised that you’re only 13th.
